The foundation is run by Yusef Qaradawi, who has been identified as the “most important leader of the Global Muslim Brotherhood and is the de facto spiritual leader of the movement.” He is also considered to be the ‘spiritual guide’ for HAMAS and his fatwas support suicide bombings.”2. They might carry the same name but the content is different. In Canada, the highest profile of these organizations are the Muslim Association of Canada, the National Council of Canadian Muslims, (formerly CAIR CAN), IRFAN and Islamic Relief Canada.
